Very clearly Sauzet signature on this one. It takes a bit of time to fully unfold, but adds weight with air. A blend of 12 parcels this Puligny-Montrachet Village is slightly backward with some reduction at the outset. The nose shows citrus fruit, wet stone, some smoke and baked bread. A lingering note of grated ginger as well.
The palate is bright and well balanced dominated by lemon. Vibrant and concentrated with a slightly bitter and chalky finish. Mineral and an exemplary village Puligny from the 2019 vintage. Slightly shut it seems, but good persistency here. A wine that is well in need of some food.

Fetere nese enn Puligny - ren og pen, men mer mot gul frukt og med et streif av nøtt/smørtone (nybakt brød med smør). Lite snev av krydder på nesen.
Steinete og god konsentrasjon. Rik, medium+ bodied, men fremstår kjølig. Veldig fin lengde. Overraskende stram og pen vin med et lite sitrusbitt i finish. Gjennomgående salthet.

Pen nese av med preg av sitrus og litt eple. Nesen er presis, men litt reservert. Lite hint av noe grønt, men dette blåser bort etter kort tid i glasset. Hint av flintaktig reduktivitet.
Pen i munnen med frukt av Village kvalitet. Den samme salataktige «Leflaive finishen» vises også her. Elegant og god lengde. En god landsbyvin, selv om jeg tror andre likte denne vinen bedre enn meg. Mulig denne vil by litt mer på seg selv om den får litt flaske tid. 90 poeng for nå.

Based on the 2019 vintage, with reserve wines from 2018. A blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay.
Noticiable larger % Pinot noir. Unfurling in the glass with notes of rasberries mixed with a dash of lemon, pear and apples. Nice little addition of toast and vanilla. On the palate it shows a bit more citrus. Precise and nicely concentrated with a slightly chalky feel. Small bubbles with an almost pillowy feel. This was very drinkable. Great wine.
