2014 can be a bit tricky, especially on the reds. The start of the season was wet and cold. Fortunately, the weather improved over the summer, but this is still not a top vintage for reds.

Just amazing wines again from Château Ausone.
Château Ausone was classified as Premier Grand Cru classe A in the original classification in 1955. They have held this position until they withdrew from the classification system in 2022 along with Chaval Blanc stating that they did not agree with the adjusted method for the classification.
Premier Grand Cru Classes A or not, they still make just as good wines

Tasting barrel samples can be really tiring and difficult. The wines are not finished and tannins can be rough. That is not the care with Cheval Blanc. Just so smooth, velvety and elegant. I could seriously drink this barrel sample. Just awesome!
