Beautiful. Lamy requires and rewards bottle age. Flinty citrus and white flowers on the nose, with fresh pastry cream and orchard fruit on the palate. Long, chalky finish with balanced acidity.

Degorged 2025. Bright straw yellow. Crisp and chalky aromas of citrus oil and pastry. Immediate on the palate, elegant mousse evolving with orchard fruit and a tightly wound, sapid finish. Extra point for label design 😍

Spectral nose of peach and white flowers. Hyperfloral on the palate, very well balanced and incredibly concentrated (particularly for a BB). Sébastien Caillat once again proves he deserves every ounce of the hype his wines receive.

Straw yellow. Wonderful developed aromas of honey, quince and white truffle. Highly concentrated on the palate with grilled lemon and quince. Super long and beautiful finish. Will easily last longer, but in a very good and balanced place now.

Surprisingly vivid and fresh. Aromas of wild cherries and Havana cigars. Wild raspberry, maraschino and rosemary flavours. Lacks some concentration and length, however this is a fun and impressive display of the ageworthiness of the otherwise dismissed Corvina grape. Nice!

Nydelig og intens lukt av røyk og hav. Tørket tang, sjokoladekaramell og edeltre samt appelsinzest på nesen. Umamirik smak av toffee, medisinske urter og yuzu. Mild sødme og fatpreg på finish. Mangler litt konsentrasjon, men god representant for Islay!

Crisp and clean aromas of pastry cream and amalfi lemon. Searing acidity with super clean and mineral lemon and bright stone fruit flavors. Concentrated and lingering.

Dark, brooding aromas of crowberry and wild raspberry, shrouded in gunsmoke and peat. Deep flavours of wild berries, thankfully without the sickening sweet-and sour flavor that dominates many 2020s, and with a slight tint of oak yet to be integrated. Very promising.

Beautiful, breezy nose of orchard fruit and candy floss. Mousse not quite settled yet, but beautiful and lingering flavors of gooseberry, pastry cream and freshly squeezed lemon. Huge potential.

Hot damn! While you might need a PhD to understand Jean-Marie Guffens’ methods of winemaking and -naming (the 2021 chavigne is a second picking and accordingly named deuxieme vendange), any random guy pulled off the street could easily understand the quality of his wines. The wine smells intriguingly of honey, white wild flowers and a touch of bread and yeast. Deep and concentrated custardy taste of baked lemon and hazelnuts. Lingers like a July sunset. Beautiful wine.

Dense, distinct aroma of sun-dried tomatoes, backed by raspberry and sous bois. Flavour profile towards red- and wild berries, with the hallmark, lingering DDLC salinity. Great pleasure.

Wow. Bloom’s Field needs time, and I’ve always had them too young. This, however, illustrates the potential of this wine. Highly aromatic with classical la Côte-scents of lilac, rosemary and sour bois. Packed and super fresh flavour profile of dried berries, Mediterranean herbs, slight crowberry. Long, saline finish. Beautiful wine!

Super intriguing nose of wood smoke, raspberries and Indian spices. On the palate, it opens with a somewhat anemic core, however with some air it settles and displays an elegant spine that carries lacy, layered flavours of wild raspberry, red currants and cloves. Some quality oak yet to be fully integrated. Long, sapid finish with a velvety texture. MG is the Lamy of red wines, in terms of elegance and purity.

Intensely aromatic with spice and cherry with an acidic tinge. Initially, a slightly scorched top note - a tint from the 2020 wildfires, perhaps - diminishing with air. Saturated rasp- and blackberry flavors, violet and cranberry, with a sparkling, lingering finish. 93 with definitive upside if the scorched aroma is a bug rather than a feature.

Thomas Bouley is on fire atm! Textbook Côte de Beaune ripe and velvety wild berries and sous bois. Rich and concentrated with a long finish and fine-grained tannins. Glug factor 11

Iconic wine! Generously presented blind by Andreas with everyone guessing everywhere but Tuscany. Andreas, upon revealing the bottle, declared Soldera the Rayas of Sangiovese, which makes a lot of sense. Bright and lacy wild strawberries and peppery herbs with a deep concentration and everlasting finish. Beautiful.
Impressively expressive, shimmering and lacy fragrance of violet and red fruits. Lingering taste of the same, with a bit of delicate oak not yet fully integrated, though promising greatness. I’m partial to the sister cuvée myself, however as with all the Kistler family’s, wines, the Elizabeth is very well made, delicious and highly recommended.

As the great DJ Khaled would put it - Another one! Yesterday the Mugneret sisters, today Barthod - the talented vigneronnes of Burgundy keep putting out bangers. This BR is deep and brooding, with aromas of maraschino and sous bois. For a BR, it’s impressively concentrated with a long finish of dark red berries and an elegant licorice note. Pairs well with chicken, as Rune would say.
Yea boii , this is pure happy juice! A firm reminder of the “producer, producer, producer” adage that is so often used to describe the Burgundian quality hierarchy. Asian spices and wild raspberries galore, a pure delight punching far above its weight class. As with all the best vignerons in the area, shame it’s so difficult to find. But will keep my eyes out for fairly priced bottles on Oslo’s wine lists.

A delightful and typical Meursault from the (unfairly?) lesser known of the Pierre Moreys. It is a rich and detailed wine, with a straight spine that carries it and helps provide focus. Lacks some complexity for the top scores, but a well made and easy-drinking Meursault.

Somewhat surprised to see the iconic PYCM label on this wine. It is by all accounts a very well made wine, a rich and highly aromatic CM with a long finish, intelligent oak use and high glug factor. But it lacks the matchstick signature of this producer, the mineral nerve that winds up the wine and binds the supple flavors together.

Beautifully executed, this NSG showcases the village’s typicity with laser precision. The aroma is rich and detailed of violet and freshly crushed wild berries, with the palate reflecting the same but with a blueberry tinge. Like all of the Mugneret sisters’ wines, it is muscular but in an elegant and chiseled way. More Bruce Lee than The Rock. A shame these are near impossible to find, but if you’re able to visit Maison Jacqueline, the domaine’s guest house in Vosne-Romanee, you can enjoy these magnificent wines at their intended price point.
