På lukt er det mandarin, aprikos, sitrus, ingefær, honning, rose og nellik. Kompleks og interessant nese. 

På smak er det aprikos, fersken og nellik med underliggende besk salt- og anisaktig smak. Det er også noe brent i retning grillet ananas og brent treverk. Ettersmaken sitter lenge.

14,5% er også med på å bidra til at vinen kan passe den litt mer spesielt interesserte gane. 

Det er en kvalitativt god vin fra Condrieu, men personlig tenker jeg at Viognier passer bedre som blandingsdrue. 

Expert

The nose is fruity with yellow plums and honey-melon. There is also buttercup, honey, resin and some chocolate with caramel. It is very complex and appealing. The palate is medium-bodied, fruity, mineral and acidic in fine balance. The finish is long, complex and fruity. 

It is an absolutely brilliant wine that is lovely to drink now, but which also has a long future. 

This is considered to be the best vintage of this and WA gave it 98 points in 2011 and 100 points when they tasted it again in 2016. I have had a few bottles as well, and they have always been brilliant but never better than now! It also gives a beautiful pairing to Norwegian lamb stew (fårikål). 97 points.
