Deep garnet-purple colored. Rocks up with open-knit scents of crushed cranberries, red cherries, and fragrant soil, followed by hints of dried herbs and graphite. The light-bodied palate is crisp and sprightly, delivering sour cherry and herbal flavors with lightly chewy tannins, finishing with a lively lift.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2023 Potensac zips out with vibrant notes of black raspberries, Bing cherries, and fresh blackcurrants plus suggestions of wild sage and wet slate. The medium-bodied palate has a lively line and delightful herbal sparks brightening the red berry flavors framed by lightly chewy tannins, finishing refreshing. The blend is 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 17% Cabernet Franc. The alcohol is 13.4%.

A blend of 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36.5% Merlot, 19.5% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot, the 2022 Potensac is deep garnet-purple in color. It needs a bit of swirling to bring out notes of crushed blackberries, cassis, and warm plums, with hints of cracked black pepper and fertile loam. The medium to full-bodied palate is packed with black fruit preserves, supported by firm, grainy tannins and just enough freshness, with loads of savory sparks on the finish. Nice!

A blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot, the 2021 Potensac has a medium garnet-purple color. Scents of redcurrant preserves, raspberry leaves, and wild strawberry pop from the glass, followed by hints of dried herbs and lavender. The light to medium-bodied palate delivers lively red berry flavors with lightly chewy tannins, finishing with a real skip in its step.

Expert

Here the raspberry and redcurrant fruits that were present in La Chapelle have filled out and deepend, with a luscious richness through the mid palate. There are still plenty of Médoc tannins showing tension and layering, and you need to give it time to open in the glass. A little tense and nervy right now but good quality - benefitting from an uprooting of 20ha of the less impressive parts of the vineyard to focus on the highest quality sectors. Harvest September 21 to October 9. 3.54ph.

Inside Bordeaux

Mørk rød farge. Plomme, røde bær og paprika på duft og smak . Fyldig rik vin som med fordel dekanteres 1 time

Ruby colour remains in tact, but on the palate the berry fruit delivery starts underwhelmingly and lives up to promise. Edges of tobacco, earth, marzipan, still in drinking window but on its way down. Harvest October 1 to 15.

The 2012 Potensac is medium to deep garnet colored. It offers notes of mocha, cedar chest, and cloves with a core of prunes and fruitcake plus a hint of cumin seed. The medium-bodied palate has mature fruit, with a firm, chewy texture and just enough freshness, finishing a little hard.

Lukt: paprika, solbær, sedertre, kanel, vanilje. En søt lukt over hele med kanel/tre/vanilje. 

Smak: god vin. Bær og paprika i inngang.
Midtparti kommer det noe lys, rød frukt.
Avslutning starter med den “søte” lukten beskrevet. Vinen sitter ok lenge. Sitter igjen med mørk frukt og blekk.

Godt balansert. Avslepne tanniner. Mangler noe kompleksitet for høyere score.

Dyp rød farge, merlot druen kommer tydelig frem med litt varm og rund frukt, lett tobakk, lyst lær, samt noe jord. Flotte integrere tanniner, bløt og god munnfølelse som bører preg av noen år på baken. Flotte noter av lakris, anis og brent jord. Lang og flott ettersmak, medium minus syre
