Reductive nose, very much on the lees fermentation and ageing, this shows gunsmoke, steel, apricot, elderflower and white peach. The estate has over 10ha of white grapes, unusually high for the appellation, and they put it to good use here. Harvest 5 to 13 September. 70% new oak.

Inside Bordeaux

The white Larrivet Haut-Brion 2023 springs from the glass with vibrant scents of fresh limes, grapefruit, and green mango, plus nuances of wild thyme and elderflower. Medium-bodied, the palate is citrusy and refreshing, with a nice, long, lifted finish. The blend is 86% Sauvignon and 14% Sémillon.

The 2022 Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc features baked apples, poached pears, and toasted almonds scents with touches of lime leaves and baking bread. The medium-bodied palate delivers great intensity of spicy apple and savory flavors, supported by a crisp backbone, finishing long and spicy.

Stikkelsbær, fat, bakt sitron. Lett floral, noe steinfrukt. Fin fylde, friskhet, syre. Fruktig, lett moden. Godt balansert og konsentrert vin. Lang.

En fantastisk hvit sauvignon blanc fra Bordeaux, Pessac-Léognan. Smakt under  opphold på ch. Le Pape

🎨 lys, nydelig fresh sommerfrisk farge
👃ren, floral, kompleks duft av fersken hovedsakelig, men også mango og litt aprikos
😋 frisk, lett men samtidig kompleks. Balanserte smaker, nydelig! Det er mye frukt, mineralsk og noe krydder. 

🍷drikkes best fra 8 grader, smakene endrer seg og alt kommer gradvis fram av smaker ettersom vinen lufter seg i glasset. Tenker denne ikke har behov for dekantering.

As with the 2009 this shows plenty of rich ripe fruits, well constructed, sleek and silky, white peaches, truffles, apricot pit, well balanced, enjoyable, could do with an extra lift on the finish. Philippe Gervoson owner.

Surprised by how deep the colour is at 15 years old, definitely heading from pale grey to rich gold, lovely grassy aromatics on the nose though, and good freshness through the palate, excellent grip and freshness. Apricot pit on the finish, with smoked almonds. Shows that Pessac Léognan can age, in its drinking window, not too long ahead. Philippe Gervoson owner.

Pretty evolved on the nose, this is showcasing gentle tertiary flavours and is enjoyable, unfussy, open. Flavours major on earthy turmeric spice, undergrowth, tobacco, raspberry leaf, fresh acidities. Ready to drink, and although you really can see the difference between Larriver Haut-Brion in 2005 and where it is today, there's pleasure here.
