God balanse mellom primærfrukt og sekundæraroma. Trøffel, kandensert morell.

Taste of dark plums, cherries, blueberries and earth/minerals.

Drukket som siste vin i flighten, etter husets syrah. Sistnevnte kan ha påvirket smaksløkene noe, da den ga samme kruttsmaken i nebbet som Pelle og Pysa har i munnen etter en lang sommer i Kjuttaviga.

Anyway;

👃Denne ble smakt rett fra flaske, uten dekantering. Floralt med noter av kirsebær, terroir med hint av jern/blod, ristede nøtter og et snev av noe søtt krydder (jeg får lyst til å si kardemomme eller kanel, uten den skarpe i kanel). 
👅Intens på tungen. God konsentrasjon. Fin syrestruktur og tydelige tanniner. Frukten er lik som lukten, kanskje med et snev mer bjørnebær (og mørkere bær) enn i nesen. Gikk rundt et par minutter som en gammel vorsteher på langtur, spyttkjertlene fikk med andre ord kjørt seg; nok syre😅

Konklusjon: Vi åpnet denne nå, sånn at du slipper. Hvis dette er noe du brenner inne med; glem av det i minst 5 år til. Dette trenger tid til å sette seg litt. 

WSET 2

Cool, concentrated aromas of eucalyptus, perfectly ripe red fruit and salt licorice. Very youthful with firm tannins and vibrant acidity, but there is a very elegant fruit core of blackberries, sour cherries and plums. A standout wine from a challenging vintage, which will be exciting to follow through the years. 

The nose is airy, porous, and intensely fruity with cherries and blackberries. There are also damp red carnations and forest floor. It is very complex and appealing. 

The palate is medium-bodied, intensely fruity and very acidic. It is nicely balanced. The tannins are noticeable, but elegant and well integrated. The finish is long, fruity and acidic. 

It is lovely now, but should preferably be aged for at least another 10 years. 

This is probably the best vintage for this since 2006, and has achieved 100 points in the WA.

🎨 Dense and dark rubin red colour. 

👃🏼 Great nose with dark cherries, licorice and some pepper and herbs. 

👄 Great mouthfeel, juicy and nice with a bit spicy and tannic ending, but great structure - that will evolve further over the next number of years. Superb length.

💶 Bought at Fontodi Winery in 2015 for € 50.

The nose is fruity with strawberries and blackberries. There is also dry forest floor and minerals like shale. 

The palate is medium-bodied, intensely fruity and acidic in fine balance. The tannins are noticeable but elegant and nicely integrated. 

The finish is long and complex. It is surprisingly fresh to be from such a warm vintage. It will pair well with food now, but should preferably age for another 5 years in the cellar.

I think Flaccianello is among the most exciting wines in Italy. This time it is the 2004 which is a very good vintage. 

The nose is fruity with ripe black currants, blackberries and strawberries. There is also forest floor with autumn leaves and a moist cellar. It is complex, exciting and incredibly appealing. 

The palate is very clean, fruity and acidic in fine balance. The tannins are soft and fully integrated. It is velvety and elegant. The finish is long and complex. 

It is perfectly mature and lovely to drink now. It paired perfectly with tenderloin of Norwegian Wagyu.
