The 2022 Hudson Vineyards Syrah, tasted as a barrel sample, is deep garnet-purple in color. Notes of juicy ripe plums, boysenberries, and star anise leap from the glass, plus hints of peppered salami and candied violets. The medium to full-bodied palate is surprisingly bright and crunchy, with great freshness and super-plush tannins, finishing long and peppery.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2021 Hudson Vineyards Syrah charges out of the gate with powerful scents of blueberry preserves, baked plums, and black cherry compote leading to a fragrant perfume of violets, licorice, and tar with wafts of dried apricots and orange rind. The medium to full-bodied palate is bright as a penny, with a refreshing backbone and wonderfully plush tannins defining the perfumed black fruits, finishing long and floral.

Deep garnet-brick in color, the 2004 Hudson Vineyards Syrah jumps from the glass with bold notes of prunes, fruitcake, wood smoke, and cigar box plus fragrant notions of potpourri, Sichuan pepper, and Indian spices with a waft of mint tea. The full-bodied palate explodes with exotic spices and savory/earthy flavors supported by velvety tannins and amazing tension, finishing with epic length. This is beautiful!
