Deep red plum, starts out with chalky tannins, greengage and plum fruit, skirting full ripeness but with lift and character, and a juicy finish, slate and wet stones, and white flowers. 20% new oak. harvest 23 September to 7 October.

Inside Bordeaux

Intense blueberry and raspberry fruit aromatics, touch of grilled oak, a little squeezed through the mid palate, but attractive rose petal, campfire, liqourice root as things open up. Pretty sleek, and an interesting pair to taste together alongside the main estate wine (which, for my taste, I would choose). Hongkong A&A International owners since 2009. The 2022 Richelieu is deep garnet-purple in color. It skips out with bright scents of black and red cherries, mulberries, and cinnamon, leading to wafts of potpourri and fragrant soil. The medium to full-bodied palate is chock full of juicy black fruits with spicy accents and a firm, grainy frame, finishing spicy.

Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2020 Richelieu gives up scents of prunes, baked cherries, and damp soil with wafts of fruitcake and sandalwood. The full-bodied palate has a chewy texture and plenty of freshness framing the generous fruit, finishing a tad firm.
