Opaque and deep ruby in colour. 

Clean, medium intensity on the nose. 
Secondary aroma characteristics. Smells of blackberry, blueberries, some dried lemon peel, spices and oak with sage and vanilla. Secondary taste characteristics. Tastes of blackberry, blueberries, spices, sage, vanilla, wood. 

This wine is dry. Medium acidity, tannin,  alcohol and body. And yes, medium flavour intensity as well. Good balance, straightforward wood and dark berry flavour. Long finish.

Satt kraftig ned i pris. Meget, meget bra, oliven og dyp frukt, mørk, edel bærfrukt, referansevin, minimum eik, lær og kjøtt. Veldig mye vin for pengene.

Gledet meg til denne. Dufter av skogsbunn, bjørnebær, mørke kirsebær, vanilje og sjokolade. Smaker av mørke bær. Overraskende mye frukt. Noe anis. Balansert og fløyelsmyk. Fortsatt en del tanniner. Flaske nr 2 skal få ligge noen år til.

Duft av saftige røde plommer, bjørnebær, vanilje, og toastet eik.

Smak av plommer og pene integrerte blåbær toner. Veldig fin balanserte eike toner. Veldig pene tanniner.

Ruby red. Cherries, licorice, anise, spice, cassis, vanilla and minerals. Fresh acidity. Playful. Sweet cherries, blueberries, leather and cassis. Deep, lush and velvety. Integrated smooth tannins. Long.

Drink now or over the next 30 years.

Anyone else who like Rioja here? In my opinion, it's one of the areas with the best QPR. Agreed or not?

Drink them young or can be stored for 30 or 50 years. Just awesome wines. This one is a splendid example of a semi mature Rioja. Just love it. Give the oak and vanilla som time to integrerte and enjoy!

The nose is fruity with both red and dark fruit. There are cherries and blackcurrants, but also raspberries and currants. There is also dry forest floor, vanilla and tobacco. It is complex and exciting. The palate is intense with rich fruit and high acidity. The aftertaste is long, fruity and acidic. The oak is noticeable through the vanilla, but still fully integrated. The wine is complex and well balanced, but still seems young. It paired beautifully with Secreto from Iberico pork. Several years ago both Jay Miller and Neil Martin considered this one as "old". I completely disagree! It is early in its drinking window, and will build further complexity and elegance over the next 10 years. Only Bordeaux can compete with classic Rioja when it comes to ageing potential. 94 points.

Burned toast, fart and barn. To reducive maybe Brettanomyces. Something ok way in the background.
