A little more gunsmoke and slate than the Hauts de Smith, with a structure and salinity that takes you to a more serous level, still with the easy pleasure of ripe citrus and pear fruits. Excellent quality, 36hl/h yields.

Inside Bordeaux

A blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon aging in 50% new oak, the 2022 Le Petit Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc charges out with intense notes of green mango, guava, and lemon tart, plus hints of lime leaves and cedar. The medium-bodied palate is lively, with bags of expressive tropical and citrus flavors, finishing with an herbal lift.

A blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon, Le Petit Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc 2021 slowly emerges from the glass with notes of yellow apples, Bosc pears, and allspice, plus nuances of coriander seed and white pepper. The light to medium-bodied palate has beautiful poise, with a compelling silkiness to the texture and a spicy finish.

A blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon, the 2020 Le Petit Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc was aged in 50% new oak. White peach, green guava, and lime cordial notes leap from the glass followed by hints of dill seed, almonds, and elderflower. The medium-bodied palate is chock full of stone fruit and citrus flavors, featuring a lively backbone and spicy lift on the finish.

This is creamier in texture than the Hauts de Smith and will work better with food. Plenty of citrus and nectarine, deceptively rich at first, but sit with it a moment and you feel a tighter core, with touches of steel and gentle apple blossom fragrance that lifts things out of the glass and gives a mouthwatering finish. 5000 bottles, 40% new oak.
