Give this a moment, as the tannins are tightly squeezed on the opening moments, softening to show pomegranate, raspberry, cocoa bean, liquorice and crayon. Clearly more supple and with greater weight than in the past few years, this is the best vintage here since 2016. Conte family owners.

Smoked vanilla bean oak, dark fruits, rustic tannins but personality and depth, cocoa dusting and black tea on the finish. Owned by the Conte family

Vibrant ruby, open and welcoming nose with cedar, liqourice, cloves and saffron, touches of fig showing just how ripe things could get in 2016. You can drink this now with a good carafe, but it will continue to open and improve over the next five years, and give a good decade or more of drinking. 40hl/h yield.

A discreet 9.5ha estate with plenty of character. This is softening on the nose and in colour at this point, gentle wafts of tobacco and dried roses, against autmunal fruits with edges of clove spice and tar. Traditional in feel, with full extraction. Enjoyable, old school, drops down on the finish, I would suggest drinking over next five years.
