My guess? 1978.

The color is surprisingly deep and saturated, with a mahogany rim, unveiling a fragrant perfume of smoked, red pepper-spiced cherries, air-dried venison, farmyard, dry blueberries, and flinty mineral freshness.

On the palate, it's simply fantastic - dense, structured, with layered mineral depth, and a lovely aftertaste of wild flowers, farmyard, and smoke.

The mineral acidity lends a refreshing touch, leaving behind a mineral spine of spiciness. Today, this wine feels like it's at the peak of its drinking powers.
