Konsentrert, kompleks og lagvis på aroma med masser av mørke og røde modne bær, nydelige sødmefulle eikekrydder, rå kakao og  floral underliggende karakter. Medium intensitet på smak, rik midt med medium (+) faste men bløte tanniner som sitter lenge i avslutning. (Litt ubalanserte tanniner i avslutning som nok vil bli bløtere med videre lagring). Enorm konsentrasjon, kompleksitet og en sjarmerende karakter som trenger 5+ år for å samle seg på smak og vil ha et langt liv foran seg. Fortsatt en glede å drikke nå. Blandt de beste Rousseau viner jeg har smakt.

Optimally mature, displaying a medium-intense ruby fading towards a mahogany rim. The wine offers a fantastic mixture of blueberries and spiced cherries, with strawberries scented with cinnamon and baking spices. Notes of lavender, lemon oil, oolong tea, cheese rind, and flint minerals complete the aromatic profile.⁠

The palate is harmonious and silky, with tannins nicely balanced by mineral acidity. A phenomenal mineral residue refreshes and lightens the overall structure, making it smooth and bright. It drinks beautifully now, and I anticipate further improvement with time. I hope to enjoy it again in 5-10 years, expecting it to be even better. 96.5+
