Characteristics:
A deep golden colour and huge complexity with aromas of ripe plums, marzipan, apricot marmelad, fruity sherry, chocolate, coffee and roasted nuts.

On the palate it has a generous touch of fruits. Notes of yellow fruits, almonds and fruity sherry. It had a very long aftertaste dominated by plums and apricots.

Wine of the Princes, Prince of wines. Princes cuvée, first made its appearance in the middle of the 1850s, when Joseph de Venoge managed to arrange champagne and shooting picnics for the Princes of Orange. It is said that the Princes cuvées have been exclusively produced for these princes. At the time, the Royal Family of Holland used a decanter to serve Champagne in order to remove sediment from it. In 1961, Champagne de Venoge decided to use this decanter shape to produce their emblematic bottle. 

The story of the prestige cuvée of de Venoge as we know it today took its beginning in 1961. The first release of the Princes cuvée was actually a non-vintage called Champagne des Princes but the following examples until 1993 (the last version) have been vintage champagnes. The authorities banned the use of the original name "Champagne des Princes" as the word 'Champagne' was considered unregistrable and then the name "Grand Vin des Princes" was born. The cuvées is made of 100 % Chardonnay from the Grand Crus of Côtes de Blancs, namely Avize, Oger, Cramant and Chouilly.
