The 2022 RWT Shiraz Bin 798 is, as usual, 100% Shiraz from the Barossa Valley. It was aged for 14 months in French oak hogsheads, 67% new. Deep garnet-purple in color, it prances out of the glass with flamboyant notes of preserved plums, blueberry compote, and blackberry pie, opening out to reveal hints of licorice, menthol, Indian spices, and fragrant earth. The full-bodied palate is chock full of spicy black fruit flavors with a solid structure of firm, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and exotic.

The 2021 Penfolds RWT Bin 798 Shiraz was aged for 14 months in French oak, of which 80% was new. It has a deep garnet-purple color and comes skipping out of the glass with youthful, expressive scents of wild blueberries, boysenberry preserves, and pencil shavings, with hints of mocha, black olives, and wild sage. Full-bodied, the palate is chock-full of vibrant black and blue fruits, framed by ripe, rounded tannins and oodles of freshness, finishing long and savory.

Dyp rød farge. Konsentrert, Mørke bær, krydder og anis med konsentrert medium pluss syrlighet og lang ettersmak. Ung, tanninrik vin med fat og alkohol som dominerer alt.
