Inside Bordeaux

The 2023 Belgrave has a deep garnet-purple color. Notes of wild sage and stewed red plums lead to hints of wet slate and black olives, with a hint of charcoal. The light to medium-bodied palate is a touch lean and simple, yet nicely composed with soft tannins and a refreshing finish.

Plenty of graphite and ink notes, cassis and bilberry fruits, firm tannic frame and a juicy finish. 32hl/h yield. Co-fermented Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon because they were unusually ripe at the same time, harvest from September 12 to 28. 3.72ph. Extensive vineyard work over past few years with cover crops, mulching, organic general cover to keep temperature low has helped maintain this attractive freshness and sense of subdued confidence. 25% new oak.

A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot, the 2021 Belgrave is medium to deep garnet-purple in color. It charges out of the glass with bold notions of warm cassis, juicy plums, and black pepper, plus nuances of bay leaves and tar. The medium-bodied palate is soft and juicy, with plenty of bright fruit and a refreshing finish.

The 2020 Belgrave is deep garnet-purple in color. It opens with notes of dried herbs and mossy tree bark over a core of cassis, warm black plums, and charcoal. The medium-bodied palate is rugged and chewy, with a lively backbone and a lifted finish.

The 2019 Belgrave is medium to deep garnet-purple in color. It has medicinal, herbal notes on the nose to start off, leading to notions of crushed blackcurrants and blackberries, with a waft of damp soil. The medium-bodied palate is herbal, hard, and rustic, with a bitter finish.

The 2018 Belgrave is deep garnet purple in color. It features blackcurrants, black cherries, and mulberries, with hints of dried mint, cedar, and tobacco. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is firm and chewy, with a lively line and muscular fruit, finishing with a mineral lift.

Lukter behagelig parfymert av balsam/urter og plommer. Balansert smak av mørk frukt og  provenceurter, avstemt syre og middels pluss lengde. Fin tanninstruktur som vitner om en fortsatt ung, men lovende Médoc-vin. Oppside.

Well balanced, enjoyable soft brambled fruits, dark cocoa bean, spiced rosemary, blackberry, tobacco, grilled earth. Ready to drink.
