A blend of 75 % Merlot and 25 % Cabernet Franc, the Bellegrave 2023 is deep garnet-purple in color. It opens with oaky overtones, followed by a core of stewed cherries and fresh strawberries, plus hints of charcoal, bay leaves, and pencil shavings. Light to medium-bodied, the palate is soft, with a light chewiness from the oak tannins and subtle flavors verging on thin, finishing on a woody note.

The 2022 Bellegrave from Pauillac is deep garnet-purple in color.  It leaps from the glass with notes of wild blueberries, black cherries, and plum preserves, leading to hints of graphite and dried herbs. The medium-bodied palate is plush and easygoing, with just enough freshness and a fruity finish.

A lovely plush plum and blackberry fruit character, enjoyable, a little fresh overall but I like this, it's well handled.

Inside Bordeaux

The 2020 Bellegrave has a deep garnet-purple color. It needs a little swirling to reveal notes of warm cassis, baked black plums, and blueberry pie, plus hints of Indian spices, fragrant soil, and fruitcake. The big, rich, full-bodied palate delivers impactful black fruits, with a plush texture and plenty of freshness, finishing long and spicy.
