Deep garnet-purple colored. Stewed strawberries and baked raspberries with hints of scorched earth and tapenade plus a waft of wild thyme. The light to medium-bodied palate is a touch thin yet with appealing balance and savoriness.

Intense, spicy, high levels of freshness and rosebud, good aromatics, this starts out at full intensity but but opens up nicely through the mid palate, and shows energy, juice and balance.

Inside Bordeaux

Composed of 82% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot, the 2022 Couvent des Jacobins displays an opaque garnet-purple color. It explodes with bombastic notes of juicy plums, black cherry preserves, and mulberries, followed by wafts of licorice, violets, and dark chocolate. The full-bodied palate is laden with black fruit preserves, supported by velvety tannins and compelling tension, finishing long and opulent. A gorgeous expression of the vintage!

The 2021 Couvent des Jacobins has a deep garnet-purple color. The nose is a little dusty and broody to start, opening out to scents of black plums and boysenberries, with touches of tar and wood smoke. The medium-bodied palate is savory and lightly chewy, with just enough freshness and an earthy finish.

The 2020 Couvent des Jacobins is a blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it waltzes from the glass with showy notes of juicy black plums and crushed blueberries, giving way to fragrant scents of black raspberries, violets, and menthol. The full-bodied palate is spritely and energetic, with plush tannins and a long, perfumed finish.

The 2019 Couvent des Jacobins, made from 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot, is deep garnet-purple in color. It prances out with pretty notes of kirsch, black raspberries, and rose oil, followed by suggestions of truffles and underbrush. The medium to full-bodied palate is soft, with energetic black and red berry layers and a mineral-laced finish.

The 2018 Couvent des Jacobins has a deep garnet-purple color. It delivers warm red and black plums, blackberry preserves, and dried herbs, with hints of cloves and pencil shavings. Medium to full-bodied, it is soft and rounded in the mouth, with a lively backbone and an herbal lift on the finish. 

Medium to deep garnet-brick in color, the 2014 Couvent des Jacobins comes bounding out with eager-to-please notes of stewed black cherries and preserved plums plus touches of tobacco leaf and raisin cake. The medium-bodied palate has a sturdy frame of chewy tannins and well-knit freshness, finishing a little rustic.
