Dassault family owners, with one of the highest levels of Cabernet Franc in the vintage. It's good quality, sappy with violet and crushed roses florality. Austere certainly but textural, and with clear potential. Lovely raspberry fruits and gently smoked white pepper, and a gunsmoke reductive quality that will further soften with another few years in bottle, hopefully turning into white truffles. Good. Not tasted En Primeur.

Inside Bordeaux

Angular tannins are holding everything in place, and this is concentrated and serious, a little abrupt on the finish but with huge ageing potential. 19hl/ha yield, quality estate owned by the Dassault family.

Powerful, knitted down, dark fruits. This is really good, old school St Emilion, and seriously closed down right now with bristling tannins, but with poise and confidence. As it opens, you get olive tapenade and black truffle alongside redcurrant and blackcurrant fruits that put an emphasis on acidity. Tasted twice. Dassault Wine Estates.
