Halvflaske. Bjørnebær, blåbær og plommer, lær, tobakk, treverk, blomster og en grusete mineralitet. Pen nese der sekundære og tertiære aromaer begynner å kreve sin plass ovenfor polert toppfrukt (53M/42CS/3PV/2CF). Balansert og veldig ryddig gjennom hele drikkekurven. God konsentrasjon, finkornede tanniner som fremdeles har et godt bitt og utgang med god lengde. Flott vin fra en god årgang som virkelig overpresterer sett opp mot pris - 200 kr for en halvflaske er et røverkjøp. Dette har ennå mer å gå på!

Lovely aromatics of ripe black fruits edged with violet flowers and smoked cedar. This is powerful, you feel the punch and the sense of momentum, impressive grip that opens up to show charcoal, chocolate and slate, lovely balance and character, young but starting to open up, full of class and appellation signature. One of the values of the tasting. Harvest September 20 to October 18, lasting almost a full calendar month.

Amatør

Precise, with balance and depth of flavour, white pepper spice laced through fleshy red and blue fruits on the openng, and there are floral aromatics. All in all, this starts out confidently, but the acidity of the vintage adds more rusticity to the tannins on the close of play than in the recent exceptional vintages at de Pez. Skilful winemaing, but impacted by the vintage. 27hl/h yield. Tasted twice, new cellar since 2021. 3.6 pH. 50% new oak.

Attractive chalky rose character on the opening beats, unfussy blueberry and redcurrant fruits, with fine tannic grip. Enjoyable and easy to recommend. Harvest September 6 to 29, no new oak for ageing for the 2nd wine, split instead between 50% one year and 50% large scale oak casks for 12 months. A 2nd wine was introduced at this excellent value St Estèphe property since 2019, but not made in 2022.

Expert

A blend 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc, the 2021 de Pez is deep garnet-purple in color. It springs from the glass with vivacious notes of kirsch, raspberry coulis, and red roses, plus hints of cardamom and underbrush. The light to medium-bodied palate is tight-knit and tense, with firm, grainy tannins texturing the crunchy red fruit flavors, finishing long and savory.

The 2020 de Pez is a blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it bursts with bold notions of fresh blackberries, blackcurrants, and kirsch, followed by hints of wild sage, crushed rocks, and damp soil. The medium-bodied palate is crunchy and intense with a lively backbone and plenty of bright black fruits on the long finish.

Dyp rød farge. Paprika, urter og plomme på duft og smak. Markerte tanniner og flott struktur med medium pluss syrlighet. Luft gjerne vinen en times tid før servering.

Good quality, lovely juice and freshness, enjoyable with grip, delicate slow build, slate tannins, well textured and carefully extracted blueberry, damson and smoked earth. Nicolas Glumineau director.

Enjoyable, black fruit, tannic grip, the fresh acidities mean this is not as supple as many in this line up but there is plenty of concentration to get stuck into here. Pencil lead and dark chocolate add appellation signature.

Middels rød farge. Solbær, plomme og blyantspiss på duft og smak. Rik, utviklet og flott vin med lang flott ettersmak. Server fra store glass.
