Balancing the push and pull of bitterness and sweetness, ginger is grated and fully in evidence, alongside lime juice, citrus peel, peach and pineapple. Great quality, one to look out for, love the mandarin peel and the concentrated juiciness, so full of flavour.

Love the slightly bitter orange lime zest crisp of the aromatics, this is lovely quality, preserved citrus and nectarine pit, beautiful lift through the finish  Famille Helfrich. 13 hl/ha

A blend of 80% Semillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2023 Bastor-Lamontagne has 135 g/l of residual sugar and a pH of 3.7. It is pale lemon-straw in color and tumbles from the glass with evocative notes of beeswax, ripe apricots, and baked pineapple, followed by hints of nutmeg and lemon marmalade. The palate offers seductive intensity, with great purity and tension, supported by a crisp backbone, finishing spicy.

Gold yellow colour, intense colour, this is enjoyable with lift and gentle citrus and apricot pit. Low acidity as in all of these wines but they have done a great job in providing contrast of bitterness against the sweetness, even hints of mint leaf on the finish. 145g/l residual sugar. Harvest October 6 to 29.

A blend of 90% Semillon and 10% Sauvignon Blanc, produced organically the 2020 Bastor-Lamontagne has a pale lemon-straw color. It soars from the glass with gregarious notions of poached pears, juicy pineapple, and quince paste, leading to wafts of crushed stones and almond croissant. The palate is refreshing and bright, with pure tropical and pear inspired flavors and a racy backbone, finishing with a skip in its step.

Mandarin and orange zest, this has attractive juicy acidities and white pepper spice.

The 2012 Bastor-Lamontagne is medium straw-gold in color. It rolls out of the glass with maturing scents of ginger ale, preserved mandarin peel, and praline, plus suggestions of fallen leaves and fresh hay. The palate is singing in a sweet spot right now, with open-knit, evolved flavors and a spicy kick to the finish.
