The 2020 Coutet has 138 g/l of residual sugar and a pale lemon-straw color. It rolls out with tantalizing scents of lemon butter, salted almonds, and lime blossoms, leading to touches of fresh ginger and chalk dust. The palate is tightly knit, with energetic citrus layers and a minerally finish.

Dark gold in colour, this is concentrated from start to finish, lusciously sweet in texture, burnt toffee, mango and caramelised ginger, lifted by citrus, white flower and pink grapefruit notes. Harvest from September 16 through to October 26, with six successive passes through the rows.

Inside Bordeaux

The 2024 Coutet is pale lemon-straw in color. It needs a lot of shaking to coax out notes of yellow apples, juicy grapefruit, and fresh pineapples, plus hints of chalk dust and fresh ginger. The palate is tightly wound with wonderful energy and just enough freshness, finishing on a pure orchard fruit note.

A blend of 75% Semillon, 23% Sauvignon Blanc, and 2% Muscadelle, the 2019 Coutet is pale lemon-straw in color. The nose offers lifted beurre blanc and preserved limes scents, followed by notes of apple pie and wet slate. The palate delivers intense citrus layers with a racy backbone and lifted finish.

The 2018 Coutet is medium lemon-yellow in color. It has oxidative notes of bruised apples and hay, with hints of butterscotch and toasted almonds. The palate is evolving, with a lively backbone and a nutty finish. 

Medium straw-gold in color, the 2013 Coutet sashays out with showy notes of honeyed peaches, mango pudding, and lemon meringue pie, followed by wafts of fallen leaves, allspice, and orange marmalade. The palate has developed a wonderful array of savory, tertiary characters, with just enough freshness and a seductively nutty finish.

The 2012 Coutet is medium straw-gold in color. It opens with notes of chamomile tea, straw, and lime blossoms over a core of apple tart and preserved lemons. The palate delivers soft-spoken flavors with soft acidity and a fragrant earth finish.
