En ekstremt vellykket årgang for denne vinen. En noe kjøligere stil med god konsentrasjon av mørke bær, kirsebær, plomme, blomster, eik og en lett jordlig karakter. Fruktig på ankomst med stor struktur, velbalanserte tanniner og en god friskhet på smak som balanserer de sødmefulle eikenotene i vinen.

The 2020 Solaia is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple in color, it needs a little coaxing to bring out notes of warm cassis, black cherry compote, and black raspberries, followed by hints of cedar chest, unsmoked cigars, violets, and cardamom. The full-bodied palate is densely laden with rich, bold black fruits, supported by a firm backbone of ripe, grainy tannins and jaw-dropping tension, finishing long and lifted.

Middels rød farge. Konsentrert, solbær, mørke bær, krydder og florale toner på duft og smak. Elegant med balanserte tanniner, medium pluss syrlighet og lang ettersmak. Dekanter gjerne vinen en time før servering.

Cracked almond and bitter chocolate and a ton of blackberry and raspberry puree. It’s gourmet with butterscotch and coffee beans, a wine that you want to share. Lifts off through the palate, has complexity and delicacy and waves of flavours that invade the mouth. Set in the Tuscany hills, 300m above sea level. A brilliant wine from the Antinori family. Fantastisk aroma og smak, en uforglemmelig opplevelse selvom det bare var 2013, men man glemmer aldri sin første Solaia😊

It contains 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Franc. 100% new oak has been used. In the literature this is considered one of the best Solaia’s ever made. The nose is very fruity with black currants and crow berries. There is also forest floor, bark, oil, tobacco, shitake mushrooms, dark chocolate and some vanilla. It is incredibly complex and very appealing. The palate is medium-bodied, fruity, velvety and at the same time structured, and elegant. The tannins are fine-grained and finely integrated. The finish is very long and complex. The oak is much less noticeable than I expected. It is a very beautiful wine that probably needs 5 more years to get into its perfect drink window. Nevertheless, it now gave a fantastic pairing with Cote de Boeuf from Prima Jæren. 97 points.

Denne har fortsatt noe lilla kant. Noter av krydder. Tanninene er milde og balanserte. Noe kort, men fin finish.

Magnum - var lovende for 20 år siden - nå viste den enkel frukt og var ubalansert med noe tørr finish
