Fyldig og rik. Bra balansert. Myke fine tanniner og behagelig syre med en god lengde. Noe varm.

Concentrated, tight colour. Medium ruby. 
Clean aroma. Pronounced. Secondary aroma characteristics. This wine smells of strawberries, faint cherry, dried fruit, tar, eucalyptus, delicate rose pedals. Secondary taste characteristics dominant. On the plate, the wine features blackberries, strawberries, ash, tar, black pepper, cedar and grapefruit. 

This wine is dry with a moderate acidity, coupled with notable, but well-balanced, tannins. The alcohol is there, though the wine doesn’t feel hot I can help but to feel it’s alcohol and it’s kinda annoying to be honest. Calling it a medium(+) on the alcohol. Medium-bodied accompanied by a medium flavour intensity. Overall, this wine is very well balanced, a bit too young but drink fairly well now, has a good upside. Long finish. 


Expert

The nose is fruity and complex. It is ripe fruit with blackberries, crow berries, and cooked strawberries and cherries. There is also wet forest floor, leather, exotic spices, and some tea. It is complex and exciting. The palate is fruity, spicy, quite fresh, and moderately acidic. The finish is long, structured and surprisingly acidic. This is starting to be nice to drink now, but it will probably get even better in 10 years. It gave a nice pairing with Cote de Beauf from Prima Jæren. This was also the best young vintage (after 2000) in a Beaucastel vertical we had in 2016. Now it is even more appealing and closer to a pleasant drinking window. 95 points.

Jan '22: The nose is fruity with raspberries, strawberries, blackcurrants and cranberries. There are also wet red roses, carnations, forest floor with moss, and pepper. It is complex and appealing. The palate is medium-bodied, intensely fruity and very acidic. The finish is long fruity and acidic. It has developed very positively since I last tasted it 4 years ago. Now it is leaner and much more elegant. 94 points.

Rubin, rust på farge, klar og ren. 
Svisker, mørk frukt, fat på duft. 
Lett i kroppen, flott frisket og laaang på lengde.

Begynnende brun-rød. Litt dempet lukt først, åpnet seg mer etter noen timer. Litt portvin duft, var nok på grensen. Intens, rund smak av mørke bær. Veldig lang
