Inside Bordeaux

Plump summery fruit on the opening, cedar, black tea and vanilla bean, but things close down quickly on the finish.  Harvest 23 September to 7 October, Chanfreau family, Loic and Guillaume next generation in charge. Impacted by hail, so 10hl/h yield.

Old school in feel, with sappy tannins and firm architecture, this has plenty of character, violet, poeny tomato leaf aromatics, a little earthy but with lift and just-skritin-ripeness raspberry fruis. Guillaume and Loic Chanfreau owners, as at Château Lestage,

Cloves and sandalwood on the nose, this is a little drying in its oak structure on the attack. Raspberry fruits, fennel and black tea round on the mid palate, with ab attractive salted cracker lick on the finish. Famille Chanfreau, not tasted En Primeur.
