The 2021 Verdignan, made mainly from Cabernet Sauvignon, is deep garnet-purple in color. It bounds out with bold notes of black raspberries and juicy blackberries plus suggestions of fried herbs and tapenade. The light-bodied palate is crisp and herbal with a chewiness to the finish.

Clear berry fruits, hedgerow character with raspberry leaf and sappy redcurrant. Well made, Médoc character, soft finish, on the edge of ripeness but well handled and carefully extracted.

Inside Bordeaux

Medium to deep garnet-purple in color. Rolls out with notes of fresh blackberries and raspberries, leading to hints of underbrush and dried sage. The light-bodied palate delivers approachable tannins with soft acidity and savory-laced blackberry flavors, finishing chewy.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2023 Verdignan shoots out with scents of fresh redcurrants and Bing cherries giving way to an undercurrent of pencil shavings and dried herbs with a touch of charcoal. The medium-bodied palate is vibrant and refreshing, with firm chewy tannins leading to a grippy finish.

The 2022 Verdignan is deep garnet-purple in color. It features notes of dried Provence herbs, pencil lead, and baked plums, plus suggestions of mossy tree bark and chargrill. The medium to full-bodied palate has firm, chewy tannins and soft acidity to support the savory flavors, finishing a tad hard.

👄 Det mørke solbæret er også fremtredende på smak sammen med litt blåbær. Det er i tillegg litt vanilje og krydder. Tanninstrukturen er rimelig hissig (med+),og man sitter en stund og smatter for å skjønne hva som traff deg. Noe endimensjonal på smak. Sitter litt.

It contains 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc: It is exciting to taste this one, as it may be too old for its quality level. The nose is fruity with blackcurrants and red plums. There is also licorice and moist forest floor. The palate is velvety, fruity and acidic in a fine balance. The finish is medium long and acidic. It is a lovely wine which is perfectly mature, and delivers far better than I expected.
