A blend of 55% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Petit Verdot, the 2023 Simard is deep garnet-purple in color. It swans out with showy notes of black raspberries, kirsch, and lavender, followed by hints of mint tea and graphite. The delicately styled, medium-bodied palate is light on its feet and bright, with fine-grained tannins and a red berry lift on the finish.

A blend of 65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot, the 2022 Simard has a deep garnet-purple color. It features bright, cheery scents of black cherries, fresh blackberries, and fragrant earth, leading to wafts of cinnamon toast and tar. The medium to full-bodied palate is vibrant and refreshing, featuring soft tannins and impressive length.

Beautiful plum colour, spiced raspberry and red cherry fruits, edges of fennel and aniseed. 22hl/h yield after the dry summer, harvest September 10 to 24. An impressive wine from the Vauthier family, great for early to medium term drinking, but these sandier soils suffered a little in the vintage conditions. Conversion to organic farming as of this 2020 vintage.

Inside Bordeaux

Sweet and ripe nose as well, red fruit, another Burgundian example with dry spices, ginger, full bodied and generous with balanced proportions.

Sommelier

Fresh berry notes, crushed plum and aromatic herbs on the nose. The palate has medium weight, fresh acidity, rather slender texture, fresh pure fruit and medium length.

Rather floral and mineral, crushed red berries on the palate, elegant medium bodied style with a clean fresh finish.

Digg deilig vin til fredagens biff. Moden frukt, lett krydret - fin frisket. God pris for en 15 år gammel Bordeaux. 

Middels rød farge. Urtepreget duft med innslag av røde bær, plommer og hengt kjøtt. Tørr og middels fyldig vin med fin kompleksitet og tett struktur i finish. En vin for høstens viltretter.

Moden. Mørke bær,plomme noe tørket frukt og krydder på aroma.
Behagelig integrert tanniner med en god lengde.
Noe krydder og sedertre med bløt frukt.
God tilgjengelig Bordeaux
