The 2021 Rombauer Vineyards Chardonnay wafts from the glass with notions of toasty oak, spice cake, and beeswax, leading to a core of apple crumble and candied ginger. The full-bodied palate is not shy on the oak, yet has the spiced apple flavors to back it up, finishing with impressive length. If you love well-made oakier styles, then this is a great example.

The 2022 Carneros Chardonnay, bottled in July 2023, leaps with spicy scents of nutmeg and fresh ginger leading to a core of Golden Delicious apples and juicy pears plus wafts of toasty oak and honeysuckle. The medium to full-bodied palate has a racy backbone at this youthful stage, countered by a silky texture and bags of spicy apple and pear flavors, finishing with impressive length.

Smør, eik, vanilje, gule epler. Blir for mye av det gode her etter min smak. 

Lys gul i farge. Sitrus, gult eple, vanilje, nøttesmør på nesen. Fyldig vin med fatpreg. Allikevel en høy syre. God balanse og god lengde. Hadde det ikke hvert for alkoholen kunne denne fort dratt seg opp til 93.

Passet meget godt til skrei med Sandefjordsmør og ertepuré.
