The 2020 Haut Roc Blanquant is 100% Merlot and has a deep garnet-purple color. It skips out with cheery notes of raspberry preserves and boysenberries, plus hints of mossy tree bark and wild sage. The medium to full-bodied palate is soft and open-knit with loads of black fruits and a mineral-laced finish.

Softly-brushed raspberry fruits, well balanced by fresh acidities, gentle tannins and the saline scrape of limestone. This is the 3rd selection from young vines and specific plots of Château Belair Monange, and the quality of it says a lot about the high level of what is happening at this Moueix-owned property.
