det nærmeste jeg kommer å være med i kåringen av årets Colgate. Søt eik, mint og fløtekaramell. En plagsom finish preget av 4x4 furuplank. Er det mulig å lage noe verre enn dette?

 Dagens markedspris er et hån mot seriøse produsenter.

The 2021 The Judge Chardonnay is slightly more closed than the Napa Chardonnay at this stage, needing some coaxing to bring out notes of ripe apricots, candied ginger, baking bread, and white truffle giving way to nuances of orange blossom, chalk dust, and lime zest with a hint of brine. The full-bodied palate is paradoxically both rich and elegant, with a myriad of savory and mineral accents complementing the mouth-coating stone fruit flavors, framed by a decadently creamy texture and great tension, finishing in a whole firework display of spices, chalk, saline-coated nuts, and things that are absolutely indescribable. A masterpiece.

Oi, dette var en sumobryter av en vin.
Rett og slett svær vin med tykk tekstur og voldsom konsentrasjon.
Problemet er at det er ingen nerve og intensitet i vinen.
Frukten er ikke spesielt ren heller.
Kult å smake, men ganske slitsomt å drikke.
Hadde ikke klart å banke ned en flaske av dette.
Lang som ei 5-mil på ski.
Imponerende vin, men ting henger ikke sammen. 89-90p?
Ikke spesielt god qpr der altså.

Amatør

The nose is fruity with ripe yellow fruits such as plums, peaches, apricots, cantaloupe and mandarins. There is also butter and vanilla. It is complex and appealing. The palate is full-bodied, velvety and fruity. It is also a fine balancing acidity. It is elegant and gives a wonderful mouthfeel. The finish is long, complex and acidic. 

This is a brilliant wine that pairs perfectly with pork ribs. This has achieved 100 points in the WA, and it is considered an icon wine in the USA. Although I do not think it is all the way up there, it still deserves 96 points.
