In bottle, this retains the supple character found En Primeur, with a smoked earthiness and brambled fruits, and has plenty of appeal. Rochemorin is an estate with lots of potential, well located in Martillac, marked by the vintage but skilfully put together.

The 2020 de Rochemorin has a medium to deep garnet-purple color. Notions of black raspberries, juicy plums, and wild blueberries spring from the glass, leading to wafts of cumin seed and cardamom. The medium to full-bodied palate is soft and juicy with plenty of bright fruit and a peppery finish.
