The 2021 Saint-Hilaire, 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot, is deep garnet-purple in color. It rolls out with vibrant, ready-to-go notes of fresh blackberries and strawberries leading to hints of Provence herbs, graphite, and damp soil. The medium-bodied palate is bright and crunchy, with chewy tannins and racy acidity, finishing on an herbal note.

Ruby colour, good density through the palate. The aromatics lack precision, and overall is light on fruits, clearly struggled with full ripeness, wet earth notes on the finish. Tasted twice. 

Inside Bordeaux

Deep ruby in colour, typical En Primeur aromatics, touch of reduction, with sweet red cherry fruit, silky and supple through the mid palate, with the oak coming in giving a slightly drying finish, but this has plenty of promise at this early stage, and is impactful. The 2022 Saint-Hilaire is deep garnet-purple in color. It offers up soft-spoken scents of redcurrant jelly, juicy blackberries, and kirsch, followed by wafts of allspice and wild sage. The medium-bodied palate is soft and expressive, with just enough acidity and a savory finish.
