The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon ai is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon (90%), Merlot (4%), Cabernet Franc (2%), Petit Verdot (2%), and Malbec (2%). Deep garnet in color with a touch of brick, it storms out of the glass with powerful notes of black currant jelly, dried mulberries, prunes, and sauteed herbs, followed by hints of Indian spices and unsmoked cigars. The rich, full-bodied palate is jam-packed with maturing black fruit preserves flavors, supported by lightly chewy tannins and bags of freshness, finishing on a lingering anise note.
