The 2019 UV - El Diablo Vineyard Chardonnay was aged for 14 months in French oak, 30% of it new. It sashays out with bold tropical fruit notes of pineapple and guava followed by hints of oyster shell, buttered toast, and fresh ginger. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is tightly wound, with layers of bright tropical flavors, a lively backbone, and opulent texture, finishing very long and decadent. Located in the Russian River Valley, El Diablo vineyard was planted in 2008 by Ulises Valdez, a highly skilled local vineyard manager who passed away a few years ago. This site is slightly more inland and warmer, so it is usually harvested a month earlier than the other Senses vineyards.

The 2022 UV - El Diablo Vineyard Chardonnay tumbles out of the glass with evocative notions of juicy pears, Golden Delicious apples, and allspice plus nuances of honeysuckle and lemon drops. The medium to full-bodied palate has an alluring savoriness complementing the ripe apple and pear flavors, with just enough freshness and a long honey-nut laced finish.

The 2021 Senses UV - El Diablo Vineyard Chardonnay slowly unfurls to deliver powerful notes of peach cobbler, preserved mandarin peel, and lime cordial, giving way to underlying suggestions of honeycomb, praline, and sea spray. The medium to full-bodied palate has a decadent oiliness to the texture, juxtaposed by a lively backbone and layers of bright stone fruit and citrus flavors, finishing on a lingering ginger ale note.

The 2020 UV - El Diablo Vineyard Chardonnay rolls out of the glass with flamboyant pineapple, green guava, and orange blossom scents with touches of coriander seed, marzipan, and lemongrass. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers lovely tension and taut tropical layers, finishing with great purity. Located in the Russian River Valley, El Diablo vineyard was planted in 2008 by Ulises Valdez, a highly skilled local vineyard manager who passed away a few years ago.
