The nose is slim and slightly fruity with raspberries and strawberries. There are also autumn leaves, black tea and chocolate with mint. It is elegant and appealing. The palate is slim, velvety, light, silky and fruity with a well-balanced acidity. It has an incredibly appealing mouthfeel, which also develops very positively with air. The finish is long, slightly earthy and acidic. Properly mature Rioja can be brilliant, and this one is absolutely lovely to drink now. It pairs beautifully with the neck of Mangalitsa pork but is best alone.
