Når den nytes, ja, så omfavner den varmen i mine dype følelser som nesten stråler inn i sjelen og skaper en harmoni mellom vinen og min indre fantasi  og dens vakre skjønnhet. 

Momento Chenin Blanc Verdelho 2021 er en liten vakker reise til syd Afrika. 

Nose: clean, medium (+) intensity. Citrus fruit: orange, lemon. Minerals: stone. Some floral notes: jasmine.

Palate: dry, high acidity, full bodied, pronounced flavour intensity, long intensity. Green fruit: apple. Citrus: grapefruit. 

Notes: crisp and fresh, complex and balanced finish.

Food pairing: aperitif.

Sitrus , sitroner og appelsin. Smak av moden frukt og sterk mineral & flint smak. Eik og vanilje  . Frisk blend. Lang ettersmak.

Clear, pale lemon in colour. The nose is clean with loads of Chenin minerality. Medium intensity aroma, primary characteristics dominated. Complex nose, featuring a strong citrusy perfume, lemon juice shining though everything. Further, the wine smells of beeswax, lime zest, quince and pineapple supported by a flinty mineral touch. Youthful. Primary taste characteristics. This wine tastes of quince, ripe lemon, honey melon with a touch of salt.  

This wine is dry, with a pleasing medium(+) acidity levels. Soothing, the wine initially revealed notable alcohol levels but with the power of a carafe and time, the alcohol level in the end showed medium(-) and well integrated. The body is medium, same goes for the intensity of flavour present on the palate. Balanced with a well put together fruit profile supported by beeswax and minerality makes for a well made wine! Long finish.

Gulgrønn farge. Dufter av mineraler og moden frukt. 
Fyldig på smak, frisk og fruktig, med behagelig syre. En lang og konsentrert ettersmak.

Smakt til blåskjell, svært godt valg. 

WSET 2

It contains 85% Chenin Blanc and 15% Verdelho. It is fermented and aged in 400 liter old oak barrels. 

The nose is fruity with green apples, nectarines and lime. There is also green grass and it is mineral with salt. It is complex and appealing. The palate is medium+ bodied, velvety, fruity and intensely acidic. It is nicely balanced. The finish is long and acidic. 

It is perfectly mature and is lovely to drink now. It can still be aged for a few more years. It pairs perfectly with white asparagus from the Loir Valley with olive oil.
