Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The 2023 Cadet-Bon is deep garnet-purple in color. Notes of plum preserves, fresh raspberries, and wild sage leap from the glass, plus nuances of aniseed and lavender oil. The medium to full-bodied palate has a nice little lift from the whole bunch component, with soft tannins and a lively backbone, finishing long and perfumed. This is nicely done! The blend is 70% Merlot (of which 8% whole bunches) and 30% Cabernet Franc.

Inside Bordeaux

Deep garnet-purple colored. Features notes of chargrill and baked cherries with hints of tobacco leaf and Sichuan pepper. The light to medium-bodied palate is slightly chewy and savory with just enough freshness and a peppery finish.

Soft extraction, not words that I am writing often in this year, gentle brambled fruit, still a flash of heat and spice but real charm alongside, with edges of fennel and liqorice. Guy Richard owner. 35% new barrels.

The 2021 Cadet-Bon is organic and has a medium to deep garnet-purple color. It features expressive scents of black cherries and black raspberries, leading to touches of garrigue, mossy tree bark, and crushed stones. Medium-bodied, the palate is refreshing and light on its feet, with lightly chewy tannins and a lifted finish.

A blend of 82% Merlot and 18% Cabernet Franc, the 2020 Cadet-Bon is deep garnet-purple in color. It bursts with notes of stewed plums, boysenberry preserves, and sauteed herbs, plus wafts of mossy tree bark and wild fungi. The medium to full-bodied palate gives a good amount of herb-laced black fruits with a chewy texture and lifted finish.
