Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2023 Lions de Batailley flows easily from the glass with fragrant notes of dried roses, black tea, sauteed herbs, and black olives leading to notes of ripe plums and Morello cherries. The medium-bodied palate delivers a sturdy frame of chewy tannins and crisp acidity with muscular red fruit flavors, finishing on an herbal note. The blend is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, and 3% Cabernet Franc.

An impressive second wine, showcasing the work done by the team here at improving balance and depth across the whole range. Slate grain to the tannins, this has grip and tension, with attractive blackberry and bilberry fruits, edges of tobacco leaf and cigar box, soft landing on the finish, no need to wait too long to enjoy. Inside Bordeaux

Deep garnet-purple in color. Features notes of baked raspberries and strawberry preserves with nuances of sautéed herbs and fallen leaves. The light to medium-bodied palate is lively and lightly chewy with a savory finish.

The 2022 Lions de Batailley, a blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot, is deep garnet-purple in color. Open-knit notions of plum preserves, blackcurrant cordial, and blueberry pie leap from the glass to begin, followed by hints of Indian spices and dusty soil. The medium-bodied palate is lively and vibrant, with pure black fruits and a soft texture, finishing with a red berry lift.

Clearly Pauillac in style, with plenty of tannins, black fruit and juice. A touch of leafy rose stem on the finish, but enjoyable.

Ingen tvil om at det er en god vin, men er ikke noe som gjør at den skiller seg spesielt ut for min del, til den prisen kan man få mye mer spennende vin. ble heldigvis nytt sammen med digg fingermat, så jeg klager ikke🧀
