Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2023 La Pirouette gallops out with energetic notes of crushed blackberries and fresh plums leading to hints of sassafras, mossy tree bark, and Sichuan pepper. The medium-bodied palate is bright and shiny, with vibrant black fruit and grainy tannins, finishing with lovely purity. The blend is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec.

A blend of 45 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 45 % Merlot, 8 % Petit Verdot, and 2 % Malbec, La Pirouette 2022 has a deep garnet-purple color. It bursts with notes of blackcurrant jelly, baked plums, and tar, plus hints of cedar chest and graphite. The medium-bodied palate is bright and breezy, with approachable tannins and a pure, fruity finish.

Amateur

The 2019 La Pirouette, from the north of the Medoc, is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot. Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, it springs with notions of warm blueberries, creme de cassis, and black cherry compote, plus hints of menthol, cloves, and cinnamon stick. The medium-bodied palate is plush, vibrant, and refreshing, with a gentle spicy lift on the finish.
