A blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon,  and 5% Cabernet Franc, the 2020 Vieux Bonneau is deep garnet-purple in color. It prances effortlessly out of the glass with carefree notions of redcurrant preserves, black cherry compote, and dried Provence herbs, with hints of fallen leaves and crushed cloves. The medium to full-bodied palate is soft, juicy, and bright, with impressive restraint on the finish.
