The 2007 Octagon is a blend of 60% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc, and 18% Petit Verdot. Medium garnet in color, it sashays out of the glass with graceful scents of plum preserves, redcurrant jelly, and kirsch opening out to notes of violets, iron ore, and mossy tree bark. The medium-bodied palate is bright and still very youthful, with slowly emerging tertiary flavors and a pure redcurrant core supported by lightly chewy tannins and a lively line, finishing long and energetic.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Octagon is composed of 62% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot. It delivers vivacious notes of red and black plums, black cherries, and mulberries plus touches of wild sage, pencil lead, and crushed rocks. The medium-bodied palate features lightly chewy tannins and plenty of freshness to frame the delicate red and black fruit layers, finishing with dried herbs and earthy sparks.
