Medium intensity, bright fruits, lovely precision and sculpted tannins, perhaps not as exuberant as Pomerol as in some years, but this is a lovely, well-made wine with nuance and floral waves, good density through the mid palate as it curls open. Tasted twice.

Deep garnet-purple colored. Features bright, pure notes of fresh red plums and black cherries on the nose, plus hints of fallen leaves and dusty soil. The light to medium-bodied palate is soft and whispery with just enough freshness and an earthy finish.

A blend of 74% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2023 Beauregard has a deep garnet-purple color. Notes of stewed raspberries and fresh red cherries come bounding from the glass, leading to hints of rose oil, fragrant soil, and tobacco. The medium-bodied palate is chock-full of muscular red berry flavors, with a chewy texture and an herbal lift on the finish.

A blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, the 2022 Beauregard is deep garnet-purple in color. It features scents of baked black and red plums, boysenberry preserves, and crushed rocks with hints of underbrush and chargrill. The full-bodied palate is coated with ripe black fruits with a soft texture and just enough freshness, finishing earthy.

A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, the 2021 Beauregard has a deep garnet-purple color. Notes of plum preserves and stewed blackberries hop from the glass, with underlying scents of Indian spices and mossy tree bark. Medium-bodied, with lightly chewy tannins, the palate has just enough fruit and a refreshing finish.

High levels of Cabernet Franc comes through in waves of fennel, sage, plums, damson, juicy red fruit. This has punch, with wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, edges of tomato leaf. Complex, enjoyable and rather brilliant - this is an upscore from En Primeur. 37hl/ha yields, certified organic for 10 years.

The 2019 Beauregard is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple in color, it prances out with a fragrant nose of dried roses, fallen leaves, and tilled soil over a core of plum preserves and kirsch. The full-bodied palate delivers a grainy texture and seamless freshness to support the muscular fruit, finishing savory.

Beauregard 2018 has a deep garnet purple color. It is a little closed and meaty to begin, with a core of baked black and red cherries, mulberries, and tar, plus wafts of leather and tobacco. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is soft, with lively fruit and an uncomplicated finish.

Darker and deeper in colour than the 2009, and overall far more successful in terms of fruit quality. Intense cocoa bean, espresso, slate, incense, crayon, flash of heat but more than enough acidity and freshness to rise up and balance it out. Enjoyable.

Unfussy and charming, very much in its drinking window, with spiced berry fruits. Soft through the mid palate.

One of the highest Cabernet Franc wines in the appellation even back in 2005, this opens up with raspberry leaf and violet notes, nuanced summer berries, dark chocolate, tobacco and smoked sandalwood. Good quality, with tannic frame and reach. Soft on the finish, ready to drink, highly enjoyable. Harvest September 14 to 22, 3.9ph, 70% new oak.
