Love the juicy slate grip on the opening here, great quality and hard to argue with. Delivers personality depth and grip, harvest September 2 to 19, 3.1ph, 40hl/h yield, 25% new oak. 

Inside Bordeaux

Gunsmoke, stone fruits, elderflower, cold ash, oyster shell, spice. As it opens thorugh the palate, creamy stone fruits add depth, grip and lift. Great quality, precise and with huge persistency. Excellent quality from this always consistent estate.

Magnumflaske av den hvite vinen til Carbonnieux har en gjenkjennelig duft av Sauvignon Blanc med sine solbærblad, stikkelsbær, sitrus, eple og fat. Vinen er fint balansert med god konsentrasjon og behagelig syre. Godt laget vin selv om stilen ikke er blant undertegnedes favoritter.

En nydelig sauvignon blanc (primært) med klar, tydelig fruktighet og nærmest nada kattepiss. Smakt ved to forskjellige anledninge no, sistnevnte til Hermetikkens kamskjell.

«Svett skosåle» e kanskje ikkje det mest tiltrekkende notatet, men samtidig beskrivendes i mi nese ihvertfall. Heldigvis mykje bregne, stikkelsbær, kiwibær og gul kiwi som rydda opp. Fremtredende duft. Frisk syre. Fin match til tomat, kamskjell og solbærblad. God lengde.

Honeysuckle and lemongrass richness set against slate and wet stone minerality. I love how Carbonnieux manages to keep freshness even in warm vintages, and this is absolutely one to look out for in 2018. No need to serve too cold either, as the subtleties are released when serving at just under room temperature rather than straight out of the fridge. I last drank this wine just a few days ago, when speaking to a group about the links between Bordeaux and California, because it is an estate that was famously visited by Thomas Jefferson.

Sitrus, eple, tropisk og fataroma. Fikk denne på glass på Clarion Air Sola til 150kr glasset. Et kupp😜🥂
