Inside Bordeaux

Deep garnet-purple colored. Gives up scents of raspberries and Provence herbs, followed by suggestions of damp soil and tar. The light-bodied palate is a little thin and simple with well-managed tannins and soft acidity, finishing savory.

Medium intensity ruby, vibrant feel to the colour, grilled vanilla bean on the nose, gentle oak, not overpowering, this is on point for a Graves wine, fresh acidities, red fruits, raspberry and wild strawberries, sandalwood and smoked cedar, soft through the mid palate, but easy drinking, unfussy. 50% aged in oak, 33% new. 57hl/ha yield.

Velvety tannins and a kick of brushed damson and cherry chocolate on the nose, a pretty glamorous Graves that could definitely be mistaken for a Pessac-Léognan. Impressive on the palate also, juicy acidities that keep the fruit elevated, ripe fruits with balance. This is a delicious unfussy wine, and no doubt good value also. 30% new oak.

Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2021 Ferrande Rouge rolls out with scents of juicy plums and kirsch plus suggestions of underbrush and cedar. The medium-bodied palate is delicately styled, with compelling tension and soft tannins, finishing with a quiet intensity.

Showcasing the success of 2020, this one really has softened and deepened over ageing, and is a wine to look out for. Great value, there is austerity to the tannins, as you find fairly regularly in 2020 wines, but also expansion through the mid palate, and good quality berry fruits. Located in Castres sur Gironde, with gravel heavy soils. Terra Vitis as of 2018.
