Thoroughly tasty, plenty of creamy white pear fruit with citrus character, clove spice, and a healthy amount of slate scrape and juice on the finish. 27ha. Creamy gold colour, one month ageing on the lees, Jean-Jacques Dubourdieu.

The 2022 Clos Floridene Blanc zips out with notes of fresh apples and green mango plus hints of juicy pears, wet pebbles, and brine. The medium-bodied palate is refreshing, clean, and pure, with a long, herb-laced finish.

A blend of 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Semillon, the white 2021 Clos Floridene rolls out with gregarious notes of lychees and lime cordial, giving way to hints of wet pebbles and elderflower. The light-bodied palate is intense with citrusy fruit and defined by a racy backbone, finishing with wonderful purity.

The white 2020 Clos Floridene leaps with notes of gooseberries, green apples, and passion fruit, plus wafts of lime leaves and elderflower. The light-bodied palate is crisp and elegantly styled, with impressive intensity and a chalk-laced finish.

Fresh and precise in its fruit character, picks its way deftly though the palate, plenty of stone fruits and lemongrass, with a structure and hold that reflects its high degree of Sémillon in the blend. An excellent wine from Jean-Jacques Dubourdieu, with slate and crushed stone minerality on the finish. Always a name to watch out for in white Bordeaux. 25% new oak.
