Vibrant and vivid in its pale gold colour and bright aromatics, this is an exceptionally impressive Champagne, elderflower, citrus, persistent lift with gentle pulses of fresh acidity set against richer brioche and toasted almond. Fermented half stainless steel and half in Burgundy barrels. 4.5g/l dosage, Thierry Garnier winemaker.

Inside Bordeaux

The kind of dry that in Champagne puts the emphasis on all the right places - salt-scraping, pure citrus, quince, gooseberry and lemon grass, with chalky persistency, relaxing through the mid palate to show brioche, almonds, candied ginger, graphite, concentrated and scintillating, so good. Another cool vintage in Champagne that here puts the emphasis on finesse, but with higher yield than the 2013, all perfectly handled by the legendary 5ha of Clos des Goisses walled vineyard that is located on the slopes of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. Thierry Garnier cellar master. 60% aged in Burgundy barrels, 40% in stainless steel tanks, no malo, 4.5g/l dosage.

A blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the 2013 Clos des Goisses needs a little patience to allow ripe apple, candied ginger, and mandarin peel scents to emerge, followed by a toasty undercurrent and nuances of oyster shell and jasmine. The palate has exquisitely fine bubbles and electric, spine-tingling tension, with bags of subtle savory, toasty and citrusy flavors, finishing long and chalky.

Dufter av kalk, mineraler, elpeskrell, blomster og fersken. 
Smaken er intens og
sprengfullt av mineraler, blomster, heftig syre, brioche og gjærbakst og en veldig god mousse. Ettersmak av syrlige epler, krutt. Fremstår som purung, og vil sikkert utvikle seg i en 10-20 år.

Vin fra champagnes bratteste vinmark - potensiale for alpinbakke men fyfasan så bra at de dyrker druer her istedet! 
Lysgylden. Bredskuldret, maskulin vin. Hengt kjøtt, salt, Røde epler, salt, kruttlapp. Tørket sopp. Røstede nøtter. Litt mørk honning. Fin syre. så inn i helsikes intens. Dette er så godt det!! og en helt helt unik champagne!

Amatør

The nose is fruity with ripe fruit. There are yellow apples, canned pears and peaches, yellow plums and dates. It is mineral with wet clay. The autolysis is elegant with black tea and bun dough. It is complex and incredibly appealing. 

The palate explodes in the mouth, is medium-bodied, fruity and intensely acidic. It is complex and elegant. The finish is long, acidic and complex. 

I generally think this needs 20 years before it is appealing. Now this is perfectly mature, and is the best bottle of CdG I have had from this vintage. It paired perfectly with Oscietra caviar.

I think these mostly need 20 years before they become balanced and appealing. But then they can also be great. It is therefore always exciting to open such a bottle. The color is golden yellow. The nose is intensely fruity with yellow apples, apricot, orange jam and honey. The autolysis is clean and elegant with coffee and bread dough. It is incredibly elegant and appealing. The palate is light and silky, and intensely fruity. It is complex and well balanced. The finish is long and acidic. It is beautiful now, but can also have a long future. 95 points.
