Struck match reduction on the first nose that clears quickly to show intense black truffles. The density continues through the mid palate, with creamy blackberry fruits. This estate is located near to La Cabanne, on sandy-gravel-clay soils, with a focus on selection that separates out the more sandy parts of the vineyard into 40% 2nd wine.

Inside Bordeaux

Deep garnet-purple colored. Gives up scents of fresh black plums and boysenberries, plus nuances of chargrill, fried herbs, and fertile loam. The medium-bodied palate is firm and chewy with muscular blackberry flavors and a slightly rugged, earthy finish.

The 2023 Bel-Air, 100% Merlot, is deep garnet-purple in color. A little subdued to begin, it offers cedar and graphite notes to start, before revealing a core of baked plums and black cherries plus a touch of sassafras. The medium to full-bodied palate has a rugged backbone and muscular fruit, finishing earthy.

The 2022 Bel-Air is 100% Merlot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it features notes of baked cherries, prunes, and raisin cake with hints of unsmoked cigars and dusty soil. The medium to full-bodied palate is firm, chewy, and a touch flat, with a rusticity to the finish.

The 2020 Bel-Air is medium to deep garnet-purple in color. The nose opens with cedar chest and dusty soil notes, giving way to baked plums, unsmoked cigars, and Indian spices at the core. The full-bodied palate is jam packed with black fruit preserves flavors, supported by soft tannins and just enough acidity, finishing on a cedary note.
