Tight tannins on the opening beats, but there are bright berry fruits here, soft curls of woodsmoke, crushed rock and saffron spice. Unwinds in the palate but this is tasty and has finesse.

Inside Bordeaux

Savoury, earthy, smoked cumin and turmeric, white pepper spice, leafy notes, this is good quality but very much on the slim side.

Medium intensity, glass staining ruby in colour, with clearly bright acidity. There is plenty of charm here, with berry fruits and a kick of salinity on the finish. Toast and roasted coffee beans a little dominant, throwing off the balance.

The 2022 du Glana is deep garnet-purple in color. There are slight notes of reduction to start before it charges out with vivacious notions of black raspberries, blackcurrant cordial, and stewed plums with hints of wild fungi, damp soil, and crushed rocks. The medium-bodied palate is plush and juicy, with loads of earthy nuances and good length.

Første gang jeg smaker noe av årgangen 2020.

Masse rød bær, solbær, lær, tobakk og vanilje. Oser Saint-Julien på nesen. 

De røde bærene følger opp på smak. Solbær, mørke jordbær, hint av røde bjørnebær og vanilje. Løs tanninstruktur, overraskende tilgjengelige. Medium + syre med medium konsentrasjon. 

Expert

Modne solbær, cassis, skogsbær, mørke kirsebær, pen mineralitet og vanilje. Mye av det samme som 2020 årgangen på duft, bare noe mørkere i 2019. 

Smak av solbær, røde skogsbær, lær og vanilje. En nok så tilgjengelig stil, hvor tanninene er hakket mer kompakte enn 2020 årgangen. Medium konsentrasjon, med ok lengde. Fin syre.
