Saint-Estephe

Concentrated ruby red in colour, big tannic frame, with undergrowth, rustic tannins, rosebud and raspberry leaf, a touch drying, this is enjoyable and unfussy, a little atypical in the vintage. Hubert de Bouard consultant.

Inside Bordeaux

Plenty of investments here over the past few years, including completely redoing cellars and reworking vineyards vineyards (even planting Chardonnay, which will have its first vintage in 2023, athough not yet tasted by me). Blackberry and blueberry fruits kick things off, soft through the mid palate with gentle tannins, early drinking.

A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc, the 2021 Laffitte Carcasset has a medium to deep garnet-purple color. It skips out with notes of redcurrants and cranberries, followed by hints of Provence herbs, black pepper, and dried lavender. The light-bodied palate is racy and chewy, with delicate red berry flavors and an herbal finish.

Smak av røde bjørnebær, sjokolade og noe trøffel. Grippy, tette tanniner med pen konsentrasjon. Medium + finish.

En duft av mørke røde bær, sorte rips, lakris, lær, tobakk. 

Smak av mørke konsentrere bær og sylta plomme. Ok konsentrasjon med noe grippy tanniner med ok finish.

Sursøte bjørnebær og jordbær, rips og noe floralsk.

En dypere lukt på nesen en 2015 årgangen. Rikere, dypere, mørkere. Eukalyptus, lakris og mørke saftig plommer på duft. 

Smak av røde og mørke bær. Mørke jordbær, lyse plommer. Fin balanse av primærfrukt. Noe lav konsentrasjon med kort finish. Derimot, en årgang som samspiller godt med slottet.

Medium ruby, heading to tertiary on the aromatics and the palate. Retracts rather than expands through the mid palate, but this has gentle charm, tobacco and iris flowers, charming, a thoroughly enoyable wine but could be 10 years older than the vintage on the label. 30% new oak, harvest September 29 to October 19.
